Jake Sully, is a paraplegic ex-Marine who signs up for the Avatar program in Pandora, a distant planet with lush rainforest environment filled with incredible life forms and home to the Na’vi, a tall blue-skinned humanoid race. The quest for a valuable mineral pushes man to encroach the Na’vi’s peaceful abode.
